My Taxi Driver's Stories

My Taxi Driver's Stories

Short animation movie Four people stuck in a taxi on the way to Jerusalem. That’s how the story begins. A story told by a taxi driver who swears to his passenger it is unbelievable. Who are these four people? Why are they going to the holy city? The short story unwinds as the storyteller drives the passenger to Tel Aviv. Behind the single story, other stories? What happened at the end? Will we ever know or is it left to our imaginations?

My Taxi Driver's Stories

A mixed-media animation based on a short story by Pnina Ma’ad Kaz. The materials were carefully selected to reflect the story’s mysterious tone, which opens with the line “You’re not going to believe it”
The animation combines cutout paper techniques layered over live-action and still footage filmed on the road to Jerusalem. Compositing was done in After Effects, editing in Premiere Pro, and the piece features an original soundtrack that enhances its enigmatic atmosphere.
